Vision assessment according to CBR guidelines
We perform eye examinations as part of the assessment of your driving fitness according to CBR requirements. This is a medical evaluation of visual function and not a standard eye exam or treatment.

When is a CBR assessment required?
- Driving licence renewal
- Medical conditions
- Reduced vision or uncertainty about driving ability
- Age-related evaluation
How does the process work?
The process generally consists of two steps:
1. Eye examination (first visit)
- Visual acuity testing
- Additional testing if required
- Visual field testing (Esterman), when indicated
Pupil dilation is not routinely performed during this visit.
2. Medical evaluation by the ophthalmologist (second visit)
- Assessment of findings
- Examination after pupil dilation
- Documentation for reporting
During this visit, the pupils are dilated with medication, which may temporarily affect vision.
Important information
