Collaboration with opticians
We collaborate with opticians as a medical eye care center.
For patients referred by an optician, the optician remains the primary provider for optical care.
After diagnosis and treatment, patients are referred back whenever possible.
We do not take over routine optical care and, where possible, refer patients back to you after treatment.
We are open to collaboration and direct communication.
We focus exclusively on medical indications and complex visual conditions that fall outside routine optical care. For standard optical care, the patient remains under your care as the optician.
When do we provide solutions ourselves?
In most cases, optical care is provided by the optician.
We only take an active role in cases involving a medical indication or complex visual conditions that fall outside routine optical care. In all other cases, the patient remains under the care of the optician.
This includes, for example:
- Complex visual problems
- Medically necessary contact lenses (such as scleral, hybrid, or bandage lenses)
- Specific prism corrections
- Solutions for irregular corneas or post-surgical conditions
After treatment, we refer patients back to their optician whenever possible for ongoing optical care.
Communication and reporting
We strongly value collaboration and transparency.
The referring optician is informed about the findings and treatment plan only with the patient’s consent.
Whenever possible, we collaborate to ensure continuity of care and maintain the relationship with the patient.
We strictly respect patient privacy and comply with GDPR regulations.
Diagnostic capabilities
We offer comprehensive diagnostic services within medical eye care, including:
- Retinal diagnostics (e.g. OCT, fundus photography)
- Evaluation of vision loss and visual complaints
- Binocular vision assessment
- Corneal analysis and contact lens indications
- Screening and follow-up of ophthalmic conditions
